God Bless America Card

Have I mentioned how very much I like patriotic cards and the red, white and blue color theme?  Well I DO love them!  I'm still happily playing with my May Ribbon Club assortment from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  If you're worried that you missed out, fear not!  We will be offing the May assortment throughout the month of June too.
Why not treat yourself and JOIN TODAY!  You will receive a fun new color or holiday themed assortment each month.  What a great way to build your ribbon stash.
For this card I used two of the ribbons from the RRR May Ribbon Club Assortment.  I ran the 5/8" red, white and blue stripe grosgrain across the middle of the card under the sentiment and I created a simple perky double-loop bow with the patriotic plaid ribbon with my Bow-it-All V2.0.
And here is a little peek at the inside.  Love that sentiment.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  For more information on other products used on my card, please visit my Make Time to Craft Blog.

God Bless America

Hello, ribbon lovers!  It's Karen Letchworth here today sharing some sweet little treat bags I made for my nieces and nephews for the 4th of July.  I'm SO excited to share the holiday with them this year.  I created one treat bag for each of them by taking a Middy Biddy Kraft Bag With Horizontal Stripes and creating little pocket cards for each of them.  As I've mentioned before these "middy biddy" bags are not small.  They're a generous 5" x 7.5" and they're now ON CLEARANCE for just $1.65/package of 10 bags.  This is a great time to grab them before they're gone!  They make the cutest little treat holders.
Once I had my Middy Biddy Bags folded, covered with patterned paper, and stitched down, I added to each of them a half doily, patriotic journaling card (USA, STAR, FLAG, and HERO).  Next, I grabbed my FABULOUS Really Reasonable Ribbons and went to town adorning them.  I used Wild Orchid Crafts Spiral Stamens which were recently RESTOCKED.  I used the White Spiral Stamens and the Red Spiral Stamens.
I also incorporated Blueberry Baker's Twine, Cherry Baker's Twine,  Red Chevron Striped Twill, and Victoria White Lace which you can see in the above photo.  I tried to make each one look similar, yet unique.  Because Really Reasonable Ribbon has SO MANY great ribbons, laces and trims, it was easy to make each one unique.
The next bag also incorporates ribbons from this month's Ribbon of The Month Club including the 5/8" Red White and Blue Striped Grosgrain Ribbon as well as some of the Red Burlap String.  The Burlap String comes in a wide array of colors, and is just ten cents per yard.  It gives your cards a soft, lovely touch.
The above pocket card also includes another ribbon from this month's Ribbon of The Month Assortment, and it is the adorable new Tiny Electric Blue Stars on White Grosgrain.  This ribbon is great, not only for 4th of July, but also for boy cards and other projects.  The blue really is "electric" and quite beautiful.
In addition to all the lovely ribbons, twines, and laces I've used on these projects, I also added several of our BEAUTIFUL Mulberry Flowers including the Deep Ivory Open Roses, Open Roses in Red, and also the Royal Blue Open Roses.  All the fabulous products at Really Reasonable Ribbon work together and compliment one another so nicely.  And YOU can make these for yourself - Really Reasonable Ribbon has it all.  Just follow my colored links, place the items in your cart, and there you go!  And as I said, you need to get those fabulous CLEARANCED Decorative Bags before they're gone.
Thanks so much for stopping by.  You're warmly welcome to visit by my blog, My Cup Runneth Over, to read specific details about my projects (and to just say hello).  I also hope that you will all stop by to play along in our current challenge.  We absolutely LOVE seeing your projects.
Happy crafting,

Good morning!  What a fabulous Friday!  Sorry for the late wrapped up in summer "time".  In my case that is not knowing the date!

Today I have a fun red, white and blue themed card.  It uses a ribbon from the May Ribbon Club assortment.  It is the Plaid Ribbon Patriotic and 3/8" Satin with Silver Metallic Edges Electric Blue.  I love this ribbon because it is super easy to tie a fluffy bow and it is bright a fun too!

Thanks so much for visiting!  Have a fabulous weekend!

Showcasing Beautiful Mulberry Flowers available at Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hi friends.  I'm popping in today to share a card I made with just a small sampling of beautiful Mulberry Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts that are available at Really Reasonable Ribbon.
Now you know I love to create my own handmade flowers, but sometimes there is just not enough time, so I also like to keep a big supply of mulberry flowers on hand.  They are actually very inexpensive and they add a beautiful look to your card or project.  Don't you agree?
I created my beautiful double-loop double-layer bow with Charcoal Checkerboard Satin using my favorite tool, the Bow-it-All V2.0.
To view my Bow-it-All video tutorials to see all that you can do with this fun tool, please visit my YouTube channel.

Red, White and Blue Card to Share

Hi everyone and happy Wednesday to all of you.  It's almost the end of the month and time for that big Memorial Day Celebration that starts the beginning of summer for all of us.  So today I stayed in the Patriotic theme and created a card to send to a friend of mine.  I layered lots of dies under the sentiment and used lots of pretty ribbons.

For my card I used the royal blue gingham check ribbon and the red jute string and tied a cute bow on the side.  It's bright and cheerful and I love how easy it is to create bows with.

The dies I used are all from Spellbinders.  It's fun to mix and match
what you have to create something new and fun to make.

Thanks for stopping over and have a really wonderful day.

Sweet Baby Girl Cards

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!

Oh just wait til you see what I have for you today! It's sugar and spice and everything nice...a trio of Sweet Baby Girl cards with Really Reasonable Ribbon and Polly's Paper. I don't know what it is about baby girl cards that just make us all go "awwwwww..." but it happens every time. When I saw these darling Sweet Baby Girl digital images in Polly's Shop, I couldn't wait to make them up into some sweet baby girl cards. Throw in some beautiful Really Reasonable Ribbon, and my fingers begin to itch!
Sweet Baby Girl Card/Kathy by Design
This first card was custom made for a client of mine who was just blessed with her first granddaughter. I layered the beautiful digital image with DCWV Lace and Linen papers, using my craft knife to cut around the tops of the floral border so I could tuck it right in there. The die cut shoes are made with a Marianne cutting die. I used the eyelet paper in the collection, and I just love the way they turned out. A bit of vintage lace from my stash and some beautiful Baby Pink Seam Binding topped with a Baby Pink Two-Tone Sweetheart Blossom complete the card front.

The inside is stamped with Fiskars Precious baby quotes.
Polly's Baby Girl Digi 01

The baby girl in this sweet image reminds me of our first grandbaby. All pink and sweet resting on a pile of lace pillows. I created a belly band with 1.5" Antique Gold Gingham Ribbon. I don't know why this is called antique gold, because in real life, it's a beautiful shade of soft beige and it goes with almost anything! I topped this with one of the new ribbons in Bonnie's shop: Canvas Color Band Ribbon with Pink Stitched Edges. You're gong to be seeing a lot of this ribbon from me, as I absolutely love it and it comes in a rainbow of colors! Finally, I dressed my sweet baby girl up with a beautiful triple bow tied with Pearl Pink Delicate Stitched Satin and my Zutter-Bow-it-all Tool. I really do get a perfect bow every time I use this amazing tool, and I would be lost without it.
Polly's Baby Girl Digi 02
Another stamped sentiment from the Fiskars stamp set fills the inside of the card.
Polly's Baby Girl Digi 05

I think this card is my favorite. I created a shabby chic frame, added some Prima pearls and a beautiful triple bow tied with that same Canvas Stripe ribbon. I topped it off with White Iridescent Metallic string and a pink resin rose from my stash. Doesn't this little cutie pie look like she's about to crawl right out of the frame? These Sweet Baby Girl Digital Images are amazing!
Polly's Baby Girl Digi 06
Once I got out all the papers and bits and bobs, I figured I might as well make a bunch of these Sweet Baby Girl Cards. I always seem to be needing one.

Thanks for stopping by!

Beautiful Fuchsias

Hi there crafty peeps!  I am back today to share with you a A6 top folding card I created with the new Fuchsia Bouquet stamp from Heartfelt Creations and beautiful ribbon from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store.

First, I stamped the image on Canson 140lb cold press watercolor paper with Versafine Onyx Black ink.  I also clear embossed the ink before coloring.  I then water-colored it with my Spectrum Aqua markers.  I cut it out with a rectangle spellbinders die and before I took it out I inked the edges with Old Paper Distress ink which created a clean border around the image.  I matted it with black and purple cardstock.  The patterned paper in the background is also from Heartfelt Creations Delicate Asters Collection.  The sentiment is from the new Anna Griffin Minc Foil starter set.  It is hard to see in the picture but I foiled it with purple metallic foil.  I then matted it onto black cardstock and fussy cut around the edges.

I used ribbons and lace from Really Reasonable Ribbon to create a band around the card.  They are 1.5" Ivory Crochet Lace and 5/8" Plaid Purple Ribbon.  I also created a triple loop bow with the same plaid ribbon and my Bow-It-All tool.  I hope I inspired you to create something beautiful with flowers and ribbon.  Have a wonderful day!

Bi-Color Double-Loop Double-Layer Bow Video Tutorial with the Zutter Bow-it-All V2.0

Hi friends.  I finally got my act together and have the video tutorial for you that I've been promising for months (like perhaps since January....) hahaha  You're going to need some pretty ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon along with your Bow-it-All V2.0 Tool.  If you haven't picked this great tool up yet, you really must.  I use it on ALL my projects.

I love this bow because it adds a beautiful touch to your project and it looks super complicated when it's really not.  So, get ready to 'wow' your friends and family!

So this is the little beauty I'm going to show you how to make.  Pretty soon you'll be making these gorgeous bows for all your projects too!

I used my all time favorite Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon in blue topaz and royal blue.  I've said this before, but it bears repeating.  This ribbon performs beautifully for fancy loopy bows.  Do yourself a favor and begin with an easy ribbon.  There is NO ribbon you can't use, but it's easier to start with one that will cooperate and then move on to more challenging styles.  (Best part is that Delicate Stitched Satin is a really inexpensive ribbon style!)

Bi-Color Double-Loop Double-Layer Bow-it-All V2.0 Tutorial
I would love to have you Subscribe to my YouTube Channel.   That way you won't miss any of my new videos and I post them.  Be sure to give me a 'thumbs up' too if you like the video.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  For more information on the other products I used in my card, please head over to my Make Time to Craft Blog.  I'd love to have you visit!

Grow......With Love!

Hello there, all of our ribbon-loving friends!  It's Karen Letchworth here today with a sweet card I created using LOTS of great ribbons and goodies from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  My card also uses some patterned papers, machine stitching, and stickers with the sentiments.....Grow......With Love.  That's to remind us all of how important it is to let our children (and others in our lives) know how much we love and appreciate them.  That's how we Grow......With Love!
This card was created using LOTS of great ribbons and products from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  The patterned papers are inked and machine stitched, and then I got busy adding my trims.  I ran a strip of the gorgeous 2 1/2" Cotton Blend Plain Ribbon across my card, and also tied a smaller bow with the same.  The reason why I absolutely LOVE this particular trim is because it's so shabby chic, and can be used in so many different ways.  You can easily rip it into various widths, and use it on so many different projects.  Next, I tied some Blueberry Baker's Twine around that small bow to secure it.  In the upper right-hand corner of my card, I added two 35 mm Wild Orchid Crafts Leaves in Brown, and Mulberry Flowers/Open Roses in Deep Ivory and Royal Blue.  To that, I also added a small ripped piece of the same sweet 2 1/2" Cotton Blend Plain Ribbon so that you can see how, by ripping it, you can easily give your projects a sweet little accent of shabby chic love.  I absolutely LOVE how Really Reasonable Ribbon makes it so easy, and fun, to adorn my cards and projects.  I hope that you will stop by to check out all the great new items that have been recently added to the store.  You will absolutely FLIP for all the great products available at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  There's also a fun challenge taking place where you can enter your projects.  We love seeing your handiwork, and we hope you'll play along.
Have a great day, everyone!

Can You Use Ribbon on a Masculine Card? YES You Can!

Hi friends.  Today I have a masculine card to share and yes, I included some ribbons from Really Reasonable Ribbon!  My cards just don't feel complete until I add some ribbon.

While I don't usually go for bows on a masculine card, I think you can always incorporate ribbon and this is the perfect type of card to use up some of your shorter ribbon scraps.

I created the sentiment on my computer and I ran a strip of Metal Gray Diamond Satin across the center of the card under the sentiment and added a piece of 1/4" Black Grosgrain on top of that.  I cut the ends of the grosgrain in points for a more 'manly' look.

My favorite adhesive for attaching ribbon to my project is Scor-Tape.  It works wonderfully on ribbon and it's available in many different widths at Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  For more information on other products used on my card, please stop over at my Make Time To Craft Blog.

Home and Family are Best

Hi Really Reasonable Ribbon fans and happy Monday to all of you.  Today i have a fun project that I pulled from my stash of goodies to use and decorate my new craft room.  It's a pretty clear paint can that I can fill with flowers or buttons or anything else I need to get organized.  How fun is that to do!

For my project I purchased the clear paint can and covered it with the paper and added a strip of lace on the top to finish the edge.

For the top of the can I cut a small circle of the matching paper to fit inside the lid and then I used this doily that I found and inked around the edges just a little bit and added a kraft flower in the center.  The ribbon I created with scarlet shimmer satin and tied on some blue/gold plaid ribbon and just a bit of ivory burlap string to make a really pretty bow.

And I had lots of bits of paper so I also created this little mini cards that measure 3x3 inches and used a few of my favorite Spellbinders dies to fill the centers up with.  Super easy and super fun to make.
The stamp is from Penny Black and the jute string you can find here in lots of other fun colors.

So that is all for today from me and thanks so much for stopping over.  Don't forget to check out
our new challenge for this month and a chance to win some gorgeous ribbons for you too!

Have a wonderful and crafty day,
